{"id":403,"date":"2015-06-13T00:10:12","date_gmt":"2015-06-13T04:10:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.regiondental.com\/blog\/?p=403"},"modified":"2015-06-13T00:10:12","modified_gmt":"2015-06-13T04:10:12","slug":"do-store-bought-fillings-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.regiondental.com\/blog\/do-store-bought-fillings-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Do store bought fillings work?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was thinking of filling my tooth myself. \u00a0I have a small cavity and I noticed there is some dental filling material at my phaarmacy. \u00a0Does that work as well as the stuff you get in the office?<\/p>\n<p>Jonas T. &#8211; Alexandria, VA<\/p>\n<p>Jonas,<\/p>\n<p>I understand it sounds like a great idea to do things yourself, but some things shouldn&#8217;t be DIY. \u00a0This is one of them. \u00a0The store bought filling you were talking about is only meant to be used for a few days to tide you over until you can get to a dentist. \u00a0I highly suggest you see a dentist right away. \u00a0If you don&#8217;t have one, you can see an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regiondental.com\/tulsa-emergency-dentist\/\">emergency dentist<\/a>. They will see non-established patients fairly quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Just filling the tooth isn&#8217;t enough. \u00a0You will need to have all the cavity removed.
